Our Mission

Coro Allegro, a chorus for members and friends of the LGBT communities, affirms, strengthens, and enriches the lives of its members and the broader community through the presentation of outstanding performances of classical choral music. We focus on:

History

Coro Allegro was founded in 1990 to provide Boston with a GLBT chorus specializing in classical repertoire.  Initially composed of 20 singers, Coro has grown to more than 60 members, and under the direction of David Hodgkins it has become one of Boston's most highly regarded choral ensembles.

Auditions

Coro Allegro holds auditions for experienced choral singers (in all voice parts) throughout the concert season.  If you would like to schedule an audition, please send a message to  auditions@coroallegro.org.  Coro Allegro rehearses most Sunday evenings from September to May in Bates Hall at Church of the Covenant, located at 67 Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay.
