Catherine Madsen is the author of The Bones Reassemble: Reconstituting Liturgical Speech, a critique of contemporary liturgical language; In Medias Res, a liturgical cycle for people estranged from religion; and A Portable Egypt, a novel. She is Bibliographer at the National Yiddish Book Center and a former contributing editor to the interreligious journal Cross Currents.
